The blog What’s In Your Wallet was the piece I chose for the audience and voice portion of my portfolio. I chose it because it is a composition where I had a strong awareness of my audience and showed the voice I use when I write. The assignment asked us to describe what is in our purse or wallet that creates a portion of our identity, what assumptions are made about you based those items, and what would those people miss if those items were not explained. In this post I tried to connect with my audience by describing in detail what each piece was inside my purse, trying to help them to actually visualize each piece. I felt by doing this, anyone could read my post and feel instantly connected to every slice of my purse pie. This was a fun piece to write because with all the creative freedom that comes with writing in a blog forum it enhanced my writing by helping me to expand on my writing inspirations.
